I see a few people asking about West Sands. My husband and I are about to decide to go with them. If anyone has any experience with this agency or information, would you please PM me? Maybe it will help us make our decision! Thanks!

Hi! We are looking into adopting from Ethiopia and have not yet chosen an agency. Has anyone adopted through West Sands or Lifeline or are there other recommendations? we are completely open. Please PM me with suggestions or recommendations! Thanks!

We are Australian, and in the process of adopting from Ethiopia, but we live in the UAE. So our process is slightly different to if we were home. What age group are you looking at?

Be careful! Ethiopia can close their single parent program at any moment. You are taking a huge risk! I know, all international adoption is a risk and nothing is guaranteed. Just giving you a fair warning. Have you looked into D R Congo?

We are using Lifeline/West Sands. Our dossier is on its way to Ethiopia. I can tell you about our experience thus far. Feel free to send me a private message.

Thanks for the encouragement. Our biggest frustration is this last delay was our agency's fault as they didn't look over his passport good enough to catch the misspelled name. Let me add that, even if Ethiopia does not have a problem with your proposed adoption through an agency that umbrellas under another one, there are still some potential drawbacks -- for example: 1. Fees can wind up being higher, because you are paying two agencies to work on your behalf. 2. ...
